White Plains Rugby Football Club
Description
White Plains Rugby Football Club was formed in 1972 by IBM employees working in White Plains, NY. It has gone on to become one of the premier Club's in the Northeast and nationally. Currently it is ranked #6 in the US and spring 2007 will compete for the National Club Championship. It's history includes successful international tours to England, Scotland, Ireland, Europe, Far East, and Africa. The team has won many, many rugby tournaments as far away as Catalina, CA, Fort Lauderdale, FL, and Saranac Lake, NY. Teams fielded include senior mens team, Old Boys (over 35), High School (under 19) and soon to be added a women's team.
